Burning the Demon Within

Burning the Demon Within

Frozen heart seeks a way to the sky.

Waiting for the savior of life the snowy winged bird stares through the mist. The monster inside her grabs her heart not letting her breath and move!

The bird with golden soul wails waiting for the brave knight to arrive in every little moment.

Miracles never happen every day. Who knows the winter would be so long!

The snowy winged bird knew it was high time to break the shackles on her own.

She burnt the demon inside her with the warmth of her blood. The light illuminating from her soul showed her path and became her courage.

She started singing in her best voice. Her steady voice stopped the snowfall. The Sun was awake after six months of delirium.

The winter was gone.

The frozen heart was liberated. The bird was astonished at her own capability. She now realized she never needed anyone else’s shadow or sword to get rid of the deadening snow and to slay the demon inside her!

  1. Thank you so much for joining the challenge, Ananya. A spectacular poem, describing the torment we face within ourselves and it can be set free, only by our own doing. Beautiful, thank you.
