Sliding Things

A droplet of morning mist slides and leaves the satin shrine of the white lily…

Your hand leaves my hand making my heart empty.

My heart could have been the most fragrant of all the white lilies in the lake…

And would have taken you back to me…But, alas, it never happened!

You left a shard of your tears in my eyes, without knowing…

I color it like a star and glue it to the sky, every night, and stand in the window for hours

Staring and gazing and sighing and chuckling…

Sliding things shouldn’t be held back, Sliding things can never make us happy!

Sliding things, like the raindrops on the window glass, or the mosaic fingers of a parting beloved…
